From Journal of Informetrics to Quantitative Science Studies
On January 14, the resignation of the editorial board of Journal of Informetrics (JOI) was announced. There were fundamental disagreements between the editorial board and Elsevier, the publisher of JOI, about ownership, open access, and open citations. As a result of this, the editorial board decided to resign and to launch a new journal, Quantitative Science Studies (QSS).
